redturner37: Didn't realise you were trying to sell the jack. If you do get into the trailer business in the next couple of weeks, let me know.
I sell lots of jacks. We have sufficient steel in stock to build a dozen trailers. If you are serious, let me have the size and we will build you one. If the weights are right, you dont even need brakes.....

I'm still on the look-out for a trailer. Needs to fit the following:

Wheelbase (axle centres): 260cm / 102" / 8'6"
Bed length (realistically): 285cm / 112" / 9'4"
Width: 170cm / 67" / 5'7"
Rear axle line to rear wing: 75cm / 30" / 2'6"

The trailer really needs to have a gross weight of under 1500kg and a winch. The car is only about 450kg, so carrying capacity unlikely to be tested!

If only it was 2 inches wider. It looks like an absolute bargain and not too far to go either. My requirements seem to make finding a suitable trailer pretty difficult - anything wide tends to be heavy.

you need a traler built up and over the wheels, the comercial ones tend to be moving heavy plant. You probably need custom built to be that narrow :(

Whoops! That width is the minimum bed width I need, not my maximum width. Sorry. My problem is that there are very few trailers with a gross weight of under 1500kg and many of them have a bed width of less than 170cm. I'm thinking that I will have to pull in favours to tow my car for the two outings this month then take my B+E test so I can actually tow something of note.

Looking back at my posts, I think it could be read that I've been a bit terse and dismissive of the help offered, so just to clear that up, I really appreciate all the help people have offered here.

i am confused by all this .....both by your measurements (and the logic behind your requirements)....however....there is nothing new in this as i am very easily confused.

I sell lots of trailers (& lots of quick-lifts) & if you are still in need & choose to ring me on 07703-162409 i may be able to assist!

I did try and point the gentleman in your direction earlier Dermot but he obviously doesn't want quality merchandise at an affordable price. ;)
