Whoops! That width is the minimum bed width I need, not my maximum width. Sorry. My problem is that there are very few trailers with a gross weight of under 1500kg and many of them have a bed width of less than 170cm. I'm thinking that I will have to pull in favours to tow my car for the two outings this month then take my B+E test so I can actually tow something of note.
Looking back at my posts, I think it could be read that I've been a bit terse and dismissive of the help offered, so just to clear that up, I really appreciate all the help people have offered here.
I was paying a fortune out to store my big transporter and I needed a smaller trailer that would fit in the garage. I was pointed in the direction of one of those things you see at the side of the road with an advertising hording on it, which had in fact been removed, leaving a flat chequer plate floor. The 'A' frame was only 1 1/2" angle so we took it off and made a complete new one out of 50 x 50. The trailer is twin axle and I rate it at 750kgs. It fits in my garage no trouble. I know the car that you have quite well and it would fit on my trailer ok. The dimensions are, 10'0" x 5'7" wide, 6'9" o/a x 13'6" o/a length. My trailer is not for sale, just pointing out that there are plenty of trailers about and it's not the hardest job in the world if you have to slightly modify it. Tried to take some pictures, but batteries were flat. will try again tomorrow.
