Jings! - it's a bit chilly out in the workshop.
Just about froze to the handwheels of the lathe.
I did manage to machine the bushes for the rear suspension and diff mounts.
I'd better tack a few bits of steel together before Angus McRadical arrives tomorrow....

Some sort of mantrap maybe to buy you a bit of time to work on your own car??? ---- What's wrong with the old pit-with-sharpened-stakes, don't hold with all this new-fangled high tech myself!!

Finally have a little progress to show.
I have made the rear beam with the suspension pick-up points and the differential mountings.
The differential carriers are mounted on pairs of screw adjusters for ease of chain tensioning.
Today I welded in the rear beam, side rails and braces.
Next up will be the engine mounts.......

Blimey, that’s 3 of us noticed the background. I was thinking 20 litres of thinners would keep me going through winter too.

.... but having had a look round the garage - I should put the race car in the store instead - it would be simpler and safer
