Race Retro

Race Retro this weekend - is it worth going? Anyone been before?

Or is it a rather pokey collection of musty race cars with the odd thing charging around a dirt track outside?

thanks

Never been but I keep getting told how good it is. Its for the serious race enthusiast as opposed to Autosnort which is getting more and more for the Chavvy 'Max power' crowd.

Apparently they have a nice collection of musty race cars and outside you can see the odd thing charging around a dirt track.

If anyone has a ticket going begging i'd love to go.

Race retro

Definitely worth the trip.
I've been 3 times and it gets better every time. It does of course depend on your specific interest, but it's competition cars need I say more!
Best to get there early to avoid queues it's very popular.

Methinks you've been before.

No seriously, its OK once every 3 years or so. Some good bits in the jumble, some nice cars and far less of the goons than at Autosport.

Very good show, seems to get better. Plenty of rally action in the showground outside of the halls. They have lots of Group B cars to drool over this year and quite a few of the old rally greats will be there to drive them too.
Bikes, Karts, Trials cars, autojumble, trade stands - has everything.

If you have a classic car drive it there. You'll get parked just outside the main hall which is a bonus & saves you a walk

Have to agree with 'blade, every three years is about right, but I go every year anyhow, so what do I know. I shall be there Sunday, maybe just to see Bob Mac's Gilera................
