Consider suitable covered Trailer in Part Ex

Need to change to a trailer - will consider AMF Clamshell type or similar in part ex - cash either way.

Thanks

I can't keep ignoring these 7.5 Ton things, so many around, all fairly fresh(ish) for the price of an (albeit fresher) Transit tug. OK, so I'm still trying to ignore them (can't see the missus wanting to use this as a back-up family vehicle) - but.... what does the insurance and tax come to on one of these? (and just how much fuel does it use at a steady 55-60 mph?).
Still trying to find an excuse not to weld up the old Transit...

Couldn't comment on insurance but the tax used to be the same as a pre 51 plate car. Depending on the state of the motor you should see 15 - 18 mpg or more ?? at 55mph but it will drop off sharply if it's not limited and you get it up to a heady 70mph.

The tax is as outlined same as pre 51 plate as its registered privately not for hire or reward.

Insurance is cheap as its insured as a privately run box van with accomodation - we shopped around through specialists and got a good deal through people who specialise in horse box low mileage per annum vehicles.

mpg is manageable - on long runs (Harewood / Ireland etc) you need to manage yourslef to 55-60 and you get 18 - 20 OK, if your in a hurry as its not restricted this does drop !

Im sad to see it go as its been a gem and is much better than a trailer, however i have just moved house and its now less compatible !

I loved the fact that i was loaded and ready to go 5 minutes after my last run, had no B&B costs, always got a good nights sleep, had tea on the go whenever i wanted and its small enough it fits in all paddocks - so you wont miss out on any banter - for which there is plenty of in all hillclimb paddocks !!

Now have a trailer !

I now have a trailer and this is just taking up space and annoying my parents who are housing it !!

It has 6 months tax and will be tested (MOT for lorrys) in the next few days

- and will be sold with 12 months test

Essentially it needs to go !

No reasonable offer refused - CASH only - no part ex is of interest.

Last chance or its onto the well known auction site !!

Piers
