Race Vauxhall/Opel Tigra. Sprint/Hillclimb car. Ex Rallycross car.

Opel Tigra lightweight hillclimb/sprint car. Converted from rally cross car but would make ideal rallycross/tarmac rally car.

Bodywork:

Fibreglass rear hatch, fibreglass wings front and back, fibreglass doors and bonnet. All moulds come with the car to reproduces these items. Rear spoiler plus front splitter. Polycarbonate in all windows.

Suspension:

Front - New Ultra low adjustable pan 2.25" GAZ legs. Also top adjustment for damping. Alloy, rose jointed, spherical adjustable top mounts. 300lb front springs.

Rear - New Pro-Tech alloy coilovers. Adjustable ride height and damping. 145lb springs. These are directly mounted to roll cage.

The car has been professionally setup by Pillinger motorsport and weights 705KG. The car's handling is awesome and this has made up for the lack of power resulting in several class wins this year.

Brakes:

Hydraulic handbrake. Adjustable bias system. Drums on rear. Nova GSI brakes on front with servo.

Engine/Gearbox:

Engine is standard 1400cc with twin 40 Webber carburettors. The head has just been overhauled with new valves etc. Gearbox is a F16 fitted with a Quaife close ratio gear set and a Quaife plated LSD. Gearbox just checked and overhauled this year. Ignition runs a MegaJoult programmable system which comes with software and leads.

Wheels:

Wheels are MSW 7Jx13. Fitted with excellent Avon soft wets.

Other:

OMP bucket seat, SRS 3 inch 6 point competition harness. Fitted with small lightweight battery. Small alloy competition fuel tank fitted in engine bay. Alloy strut brace. Car has an RAC motorsport logbook.

Roll cage is a one off with multiple pickup points.

We set the handling up this year and were going to introduce more power next year but have decided to retire after 37 years in motorsport. All it needs now is more power to make it something special. All the hard work has been done, just needs a few more bhp!!

Car would also be suitable for tarmac rallying or back to rally cross spec.
