You beat me to it - I too was pondering why you only needed to be competent in the paddock.

Re. contravening tyre warming regs - surely that would only apply when it falls off the jack?

Donald Day and several other ERA owners simply lift the back end of the floor with those crazy jacks they use and put a bit of fencing around the wheels. The wheels do not touch the floor so they cant be accused of tyre warming and the reason they warm the oil in the diff is because they use Castrol R in there and remember, these cars are fitted with pre-select gear boxes which will need the oil warming to stop the bands being sluggish. If you are considering rollers Graham, then I can see you being protested, so I wouldnt waste my time....
