Saint Goueno Masters 2010 Date Anounced

.

At last St Goueno has re-claimed it's rightful place as a round of Europe's premier hillcimb championship the 'Championat de France de la Montagne'

The event will be held on 5 & 6 June 2010.

The rise to CFM status has been a hard fight but five years of continuous hard work by the Ecurie du Mene has finally paid off. The French governing body of motor sport the FFSA today confirmed our inclusion in the championship. In their appraisal of the event they commented positively on the added international interest provided by the invited Masters drivers.

For 2010 we have extended the Masters entry to 50 drivers, which is 15 more than in previous years, going by enquiries already received I expect to oversubscribed in a very short period of time. As yet the entry details, fee's etc have not been set, however the provisional entry list is now open, you can reserve your place by contacting me by email or by telephone.

Actualy neither, the plan was to have three consecutive rounds in the west of France but due Hebecrevon's 'un-coopperative' attitude it didnt happen. There are plans to run a two event Masters challenge for La Pom and St G.

2010 west of France CFM rounds;

Hebecrevon: ….......... 15 May

La Pommeraye: …. 28/29 May

Saint Goueno: …...... 5/6 June

St Goueno

Yes, it seems that they have really 'cocked' up any plans I had of doing all three events. Two weeks is too much of a gap for most guys who have to work for a living.

Cheeky sod, I have to work hard to make it possible to come to St. Goueno, it's not like popping over to Harewood. However, more than worthwhile, as witness by the number of UK, Irish and Channel Islanders who come along to compete at the greatest hill in France.......

Come now, John, You know full well that David applied for one of those 'swarf sweeping and general handyman' jobs at the local engineering works to eke his pension out.
Advertised as 'Would suit active pensioner'
