Joining the HSA also means you will automatically get the magazine Speedscene, probably the best magazine in the world for hillclimbing and sprinting!

Obviously this won't necessarily mean there will be a Saloon Libre class at championship events but there will be the opportunity to score within the championship against similar cars rather than against sports libre.
Final details have still to be worked out such as capacity breaks and records.
The feedback of potential competitors will be welcome.
This is one of a number of changes in MSC for next season.
As the OP says other championships are available (with an even wider selection of dates and venues), no magazine though

Don't undo all your hard work by not updating your prime source of advertising.
Will now go and take another look at regs.
4F I guess it will be.
Just because TOYO sponsored the championship didn't mean you had to run their tyres. Tyre choice was always down to regs/personal choice/cost. MSC would never allow a sponsor to dictate tyres or anything else.

This has been done to cater for a desire for such a class as talked about in lots of previous threads on uphill racers.

You will be made very welcome of you choose to join the Midland Speed Championship. £25 gets you membership of the Midland Speed Club and registration in the championship. As has been said Speedscene magazine is very worthwhile but you don't need to be an HSA member to get it - you can just take out a subscription on its own.

Look forward to seeing you.

With my car now banned from rallying, Hill climb / Sprint is my only alternative to track days or breaking.
With over 30 years of rallying, from novice to full internationals, I’ve “been there, done that and got the T shirt”
The MSA have successfully removed all the pleasure from rallying so I am keen to try something else that will give me motorsport pleasure again.
I have only spectated on a couple of Hill climbs, Loton park about 30 years ago and the Manx classic last year, but on the face of it, it appears to be a more laid back sport compared to the cut and thrust of Rallying. I’m sure below the surface there are the same politics as involved with all motor sports.
With the MSA, graciously, sanctioning my car for use in Speed events, £36 for a new log book, I am looking for some ware to play. I have no preconceived ideas of my own competitiveness, I’m just happy to be able to continue to use the car.
The Midland Speed Championship seemed to be ideal for me and the Saloon Libre class seemed to be the class for my car. If accepted I will turn up, do my own thing, enjoy driving my car and hopefully make some new friends. The only competition will be with myself!

Seconded.

Apologies Tuggers for my earlier comment which should have been "4D, 4E (Fingers crossed) and 4F".

So that's three of us now in 4E. That's great news.
