Hi Peter,

July's event became non-competitive because of timing gear issues. I suspect that permanently installed timing wires were broken.

Pendle DMC advise that they have a solution for the next meeting.

They need to break even and that requires about 30 cars to be viable.

It doesn't help that Pendle's website is either dead or 9 years out of date (take your pick from various URLs). However the club & venue is worth supporting.

Contact Rod Brereton on 01282 859103 for Regs. They are due out soon.

Craig

I hope they get the entries they need. If the venue misses a year thats when things start to slip away. I intend to go next year........but it may get dropped from our championship after this summers shenanigans.

Wigton Norther Speed and it was the July one where the timing went breasts up! I instigated Sammondens inclusion 3 years ago...the first year loads of people went, last year about 10 went and this year about half a dozen....the falling numbers combined with the non event this year make it hard to put on the calendar again.

Craig, I was about to post that but you beat me by 3 minutes. I got an email from Rod saying it was confirmed.

Strangely, my busy social diary is clear for that date so I guess I'll be there.

I'll also forward it to Dave Thomas at ANWCC to see if it can still be included for the ANWCC Hillclimb championship as it originally was. I doubt it will make any difference to the overall positions in that championship (certainly won't for me - too many DNS's, DNF's or just plain pottering about) but would give it a bit more credibility.

I have also emailed Dave Thomas. As long as it happens before 31st Dec then I'm sure it will be in the ANWCC Hillclimb Championship.

Going off the thread a bit....to ANWCC topics

My life's ambition is to understand the ANWCC scoring. If you have any tips then let me know.

The scoring seems to favour the faster cars because there is a one element of the scoring which is wrt fastest overall time. That seems unfair. Have I interpreted it correctly?

As regards the "Seniors" table, the scoring is a total mystery.

The faster your car the more chance you have in the ANWCC championships, but you both have to win the class for it to matter much.
