........well this year for a start surely?

However, never discount Grovesy for a late charge.

A sort of a reply

Today Scott is on 228 points but unfortunately his current lowest six scores are 6, 8, 9, 9, 9 & 9.

Martin is currently on 165 points with none to drop.

So, anyone care to do some speculative maths?

I've just done some and if Scott only scored a third place for 7 points in each of the remaining rounds he would finish on 298 with 41 to drop giving 257.

In which case Martin would need to score 93 to win...

So can Martin beat him? Or is it too much to ask? Can Martin Score 93 points, which equates to 9 wins plus three new hill records, in the remaining rounds?

Of the six scores you gave which Scott has to drop the 6 and the 8 would, if he came second on two occassions, gain him just 4 points. This would mean, given Iranoff's calculations, 260 points - would this be enough?

I think it comes down to... Martin needs to win everything with 3 records to take the championship otherwise Scott wins, unless Scott places below 2nd in 5 or more of the remaining 10 rounds which then starts to open it up (I think )

I can't really see Scott scoring consistently bad enough to help Martin out much, if at all, so it will depend if Martin can have a perfect end of the year. He did get 4 records in the equivalent rounds last year, but I guess that just makes it harder now.
