Sheridan Thynne 1939 - 2011
Dear All
As most of you will have read elsewhere my Father passed away at the weekend. Thankyou to all for their messages of kindness at this very difficult time. I will post when known the details of the memorial service. A huge fan of this sport and all it stands for he will be sorely missed. He was never happier than at a hillclimb on a summers day. Battery Trolley duties / Spectating / engaging in banter..............or a bit of driver tuition - he loved it all. Thanks Piers Last edited by PP Racing; 22-11-11 at 08:40. |

We were all very sad to hear of Sheridan’s passing.
An absolute true gentleman and enthusiast. He always made time to come and talk to us and I always found his stories (especially those about Frank) and enthuisiasm amazing. I will always remember the efficiency he ran our test days at Curborough and on one occasion came to help us out even when Piers couldn’t make it. Who else would give up a day to come and help 10 hilcllimbers with a private test session? He will be sorely missed in the hilcllimb paddock by many. Thoughts with Eve, Piers and the rest of the Thynne family. The Williams’ |

Piers,
Like Sandra the news comes as a complete shock. Sheridan was a true gentleman, always finding time to discover the latest goings on in the Jenkins family and amazing us with stories of F1. We will miss him greatly, as will the whole Hillclimb community. Our thoughts are with you, Eve and the rest of the Thynne family. Morgan, Amy & William |

I was so shocked to hear the news on Sunday morning. I last spoke to him at Harewood in July and he was as witty and knowledgeable as ever. It was a privilege to have known him. My condolences to your mother and all of your family. Eddie
