Looks great though. Nice to see some old school steel again.

Your car looks spot on,nicely period.
I used to work as a "Saturday boy" in a local Skoda franchise so spent a lot of time washing and polishing Estelles on the forecourt.
Hope you have a lot of fun with it

Thanks.....so far its not been great for reliability....did the first of 3 events on the Isle of Man and the engine suffered oil starvation and did its bearings! Thankfully its cheap and easy enough to fix. Short video of Snotty in action on IOM. Didnt quite get it right I know, but the crowd cheered!!

Where has snotty gone, searching the etha for my old car, she deserves a new lease of life, was better know as the Pacer in S.wales, due to the green with white stripe paint finish.

Snotty had an oval crank as I found out to my cost on the Isle of Man! A complete schoolboy error on my part....had it lightened and balanced and forgot to get it reground.
That was late April...since then the rebuild started...and I saw a set of low friction T pistons and stretched liners.....with a 51cc capacity increase from CZ and had to have them. (under £300 with rings...oh the joy of Skud ownership!). They should arrive early next week....the company implied they had them in stock when actually they meant I had to wait a month! Oh, and Ive got a Canems ECU to convert Snotty to fully programmable injection and ignition....whilst still retaining the Weber DCOE as a throttle body so the looks arent spoilt. Should be back up and running for some late season events.

Great to see something off-the-wall going on. I bet you all really think the same!

A nice low pressure supercharger would be good off a Mini?

Hope you will get it good and low and wide Minilites all round.

Excellent. Keep the pics coming and keep at it!

Snotty is getting close to being finished. Now running fuel injection on a Canems ECU -

and a couple of weeks ago at a very wet Kames I swapped times with a 205 1.9 GTI........so we're getting there, but I did find the suspension far too soft and rolly for track use. Its great on the road but the whole suspension set up is now to be replaced with something a bit stiffer and thickr roll bars from CZ as well as some hard suspension bushes.

The injection set up has produced 84bhp@wheels and a very smooth drive. Hopefully more to come once the cam has been fully set up...and some weight to shed (me and the car!)
