The weather bods have mentioning the possibility of wintery stuff returning by the weekend. Rain rather than snow according to the Beeb's site but a chilly day at Loton seems in the pipeline.

Note to self: make a flask of hot coffee by all means, but actually bring it with you this time, you spanner.

Would not wish to piss on your chips but this weekends Loton is members practice not actually a competitive meeting.

Saturday sees the first round of the SBD Motorsport British Sprint Championship at Castle Combe, so I make that the start of our motor sport season.

Only its not very hilly.

Strange eh, a countdown clock letting you see how long it is until you stand out in the cold, wind, sleet, hail, fog, mist and tempest. And only 53 weeks ago this forum was full of people moaning about how early Easter was. Funny old world.

As iranoff points out in the above post it is only a test day.

It's still cars going up hills! Us photographers need practice as much as drivers (me especially - before anyone says anything

I noticed a post on HDLCC's forum earlier in the week saying there is no spectator access so have emailed them to make sure it will be OK to go along - just waiting to hear back. Is everyone else just winging it? I wish by blagging skills were better.

Forecast does seem to be getting worse by the day. Metcheck reckons sleet for Saturday but next to zero volume.

Yep, I know it's only a members parctise weekend but, like the man says, its the chance to take photographs of cars racing up a hill so that's all that matters.
