Some videos you might enjoy

Gravel for Breakfast - Conveys the highs and lows of motorsport very well (It's not like Days of Thunder all the way through ).

Preview of the forthcoming "Titan" DVD by Clash Production, who I think are producing some of the best motorsport footage around at the moment.

Well worth a look around.

A bit of footage that I have always enjoyed is the 83 Manx Rally with Ari Vatanan and Terry Harryman, the one where they get a tyre blow out just before the cattle grid. Harryman's reaction is funny. If it had been me then the words would need to be censored. Amazing driving skill by Vatanen.

Extra

I was recently told of a quote made by Terry Harryman. After he and Vatanen had a very big 'off' he was asked "At what point did you know that you were going to have an accident?". Harryman replied, 'At scrutineering'.

Loving the Harryman Quote. I've seen that video before albeit a shorter version, and I never realised it was a puncture, I'd always assumed he'd clipped something.

RC166

We have become accustomed to high spec Japanese multis, 4 and 5 valves per head, but if you transport yourself back to the mid 60's then this was exotica to rival putting a man on the moon. Amazing sound. Thanks for sharing.

No problem Craig. It'd be nice to hear one in person at some point, it's a bit of a one-off noise.

One of my favourites, never get tired of watching this Manx Rally Brandywell in car and listening to Mark Higgins chatting away...

The puncture was caused by him clipping the wall on the left just before the cattle grid.

I've always loved watching tarmac rallying, especially the Manx. I think this is why I love hill climbing so much.
