Split timing positions at Prescott

I've just returned from Prescott and am comparing my split times to ones 5 and 6 years ago. Can I do this realistically, or should one only compare times at the same event? I could well believe the position of the aparatus has moved a little, or are they placed accurately at each and every meeting?
I was 5 mph slower, yet 2 seconds faster in the same car. All a bit confusing.
Many thanks,
James

The speed trap at Prescott has not moved since it was first installed .
The same applies to the splits.
