About 560 km or 6 hours... ish.

Last year at Saint Goueno we had hairdressing and flower arranging displays for the wives, oh and a free masseur to boot ... Dave Hunter was devastated when he found out he missed it! he he he

Have got Keith Edwards and his Audi SWB Pike Peaks replica interested as well, as well as Keith Murry from Dylynx.

SpdJohn,

dont go via Calais, I did that a couple of years ago and it was a long slog, though I did save a couple of hundred quid. Over the years I have been going I have got it down to what I think is the best route and that is, going out, Portsmouth -St. Malo and return via Caen. If you just do St. Goueno it is only an hours run from the boat but if you do la Pommeraye it will be another 100 plus miles. Oh and make sure you go to the correct la Pommeraye. The boat leaves Portsmouth at 20 30 and arrives in St. Malo next morning at about 09 00. Coming back via Caen gets you into Portsmouth at around lunchtime giving time for a nice steady run home. ps, the ferry cost for my camper and trailer works out at £525 which includes a cabin.

I'm told this event is an absolute cracker!
Nearly went in the 911 some years (5?) ago as a guest drive status due to licences?

Shame about the Hans as my Lola is 78 and the 911 73, so that is an option.(new helmet does not have the posts)
Actually, that IS an option to think hard about...911 on open pipes up a real hillclimb, and no trailer to fuss about.

Absolutely right, a real cracker of an event and will make you think twice about how you feel about UK events. I finished up having to swap a new helmet because of the hans posts and was already to go, ferry booked etc, when I got ambushed by my baby sister, 'cos it was her Ruby Wedding anniversary on the same day. I ran open pipes up the hill the first time that I went, but I think that the FIA/FFSA have clamped down on them, but I shall take it just in case. I wont go on and spoil Johns thunder, you just have to be there to experience it.....
