Still no response, but an interesting steer in the latest MSA newsletter.
Advertising on glass surfaces Competitors and teams are reminded of the requirements of (Q)19.2.2 and (J)5.2.10, which concern advertising on glass surfaces on competition cars. Looks like I was right. 19.2.2 says the advertising on the windscreen has no height limit so long as vision isn't 'obscured' for the driver. And 5.2.10 is concerned with tinted windows. |

I did a sprint today, with front and rear screens with sunstrips, front marginally deeper, and rear a good 5 cm deeper. Nothing was said at scrutineering

Graham, Apologies for the delay in replying. Depending on which discipline you compete in there are a number of different regulations which cover sun strips. If you compete in stage rallying the you need to read R48.1.11. and if you compete in circuit racing the you need to read Q19.2.2. Both of which should permit the sunstrip you describe below.
