Tridair / Camlock - Live Lock panel fasteners

Tridair / Camlock quick release panel fasteners.

As used by F1 / LMP and on high level motorsport & avaiation applications.

If you're not familiar with them a bit more info can be found on them by copying and pasting the link below....

http://www.alcoa.com/fastening_systems/aerospace/catalog/Live%20Lock%20Design%20Guide.pdf

I have 2 sizes available the smaller silver recepticles (as pictured) which are usually used for securing smaller compoments (inspection panels, ecu trays, etc) and the larger blue recepticles (usually used for holding sidepods, undertrays, etc).

The smaller recepticles come complete with studs & stud retaing washers, their grip range is 2.5mm > 3.8mm.

Sorry but I don't have studs available for the larger recepticles, however they can be purchased easily enough from Trident.

Both are priced @ £5 (list price on a complete fastener is normally £30+ !!)

What diameter are the respective recepticles and studs please? Would either be suitable to replace where a problematic DZEUS fasterner has once been fitted?

The smaller size stud is 4.7mm and the larger studs are 6.3mm.

They are infinitly better than nasty, nasty dzeus fasteners! However I would recommend starting with a fresh undrilled piece of carbon or glass fibre rather than trying to work around the big hole left by a dzeus clip, as it so happens I also sell carbon fibre sheet, but I'd include a small offcut for free if required (you'd just need to bond it in place)....

The small studs are undone with 3/32" & the large ones 5/32" allen keys.

Cheers, I'll check our toolbox in case these become popular.
