Perhaps an Ultima class may be on the cards !.
You thought he had made a great job of the exhaust system the first time you took it out, then realised that Neil had fallen asleep in the boot. Dives for cover....

Nice one Kelvin. Probably a bit too expensive to qualify for the 2010 "Scally Rally" !!!

Hope to see you - and it - at Gurston

I think I can safely say that the LAST place I would consider in the Ultima, is Wiscombe !!

I could hardly get a single-seater round Sawbench and Martini !!

Peter is doing well - he is heavily into gliding now - he took that up after we sold the racing car, and he has a share in a glider at a club near Honiton - in fact he has recently been appointed as Chairman of the club !!

I don't think he will go back to cars - but you can never say never !!

I've never been to Wiscombe & memory could be playing tricks but ...

I rather think Bev Fawkes threw his "Kitdeal Ultima Mk2" up Scammonden in the early '90's. I suspect this is an ancestor of the Ultima GTR. True, it was a mere 4.2 litres, but that was powerful enough to get BTDBTDBTD's at Aintree in those days. Also, size-wise it was, I think, modelled on the (short-tailed) Porsche 917, so not ideally suited to a course where BTDBTDBTD was about 45 mph.

Either way, any course would love to see something like that turn up.
