wanted race overalls

My son is starting in hill climbing this season and as he is a student his funds are pretty small and as Proban are now banned he faces quite an expense for new suits so s/hand has to be the way to go. He needs a set of overalls to FIA spec, not bothered whether 2 or 3 layers.

Size: He is well over 6 feet but very slim. At Autosport Show he tried on various suits and OMS size 54 seemed to be the best fit.

Please come back to me with details of what you have and prices .

Thanks

Richard

We tried the Playskool ones on at Autosport Show, but they didn't fit well. Also as my son Matt commented that at £275 new for the Playskool one he could buy a used suit for £150-ish and save £100 which is an event entry cost.
I tried one on too, but ended up getting a good deal from Croydon Race and Rally on an OMP suit.

Richard

There have been quite a few going thru ebay in the £75-£150 range, look for poor description listings, I picked up a spare size 54 Sparco 8856-2000 suit, a 2005 one, for 55 quid last November. I find that my size 54 OMP suit is a bit bigger all round, including height, than the size 54 Sparco one tho.

Yep , there are subtle differences in the suit sizes from different suppliers.

As above Sparco 54 is an OMP size 52, so if you are after an OMP size 54 then a Sparco size 56 is similar.
