Andy, very nice of you to say so but of course probably like everyone else, I was a wee bit disappointed not to have gone a little quicker. Need to work out how to fit the wider wheels and slicks.
Altogether a very good two days.

If you don't want to go quicker, it's probably time to quit! What's the limiting factor for the wheels? Is it finding some or a clearance on wishbones/tie-rods/body?

Obviously given the wrong impression but don't actually see anything I mentioned that says I don't want to go quicker? If I did not want to improve my times, frankly there would be little point competing at all.
The problem with the wider wheels is clearance for the rear ones, fronts are fine but I'm working on a couple of solutions, so no worries.
I looked at the video clip on youtube, looks ok to me.

Rob - I suspect somebody you met with me at the weekend may well have some wheels left over from his Radical after he sold it - if not he is bound to know where something suitable is lying around. I think you have his number.
I also fall into the "wee bit disappointed" category.
Roll on next year !

Had already been in touch David, but about the Mercadier, so hope the owner gets in contact.
I have to say I enjoyed the two days miles more than last year, so semper sursum.

Rob, I think I explained poorly. I meant you clearly had no desire to stop going quicker, so that's a good thing. I don't know what fitment your wheels are, but I have some 4" PCD centre lock wheels with slicks/wets on them that I need to actually try and sell...

Hi Andy, clearly a communication problem between us, moving on.
Wheels, I have some madin 8" and 9" wheels with slicks, the problem is at the rear, because I don't want the wheels sticking way outside the bodywork, I have had to go innwards, if that makes sense. That causes a clearance problem, so have to space out a bit. It's just really getting the correct size of spacer and how to fit it without it looking like something carlos fandango has designed.
I'm thinking that a pair of new hubs incorporating the spacer and also a flange for a brake disc may be a good if not expensive solution.
Your wheels sound good but I think they alone would not solve the problem and also my existing hub flanges would need some sort of adaptation. You'll get me at rob.hume@btconnect.com
Cheers
Rob
