Or when seeing where the track goes after an over enthusiastic entry to Curve Grande in an FWD car!

On the subject of 1100cc single seat top speed at Blyton....

Are there any(more) actual experiences to go on? I'll post mine, after I've been (I'm a Blyton virgin, so they won't be at the higher end of Vmax), I'm also not usually a great fan of 'coned' concrete, I get lost and confused.

From this thread, it looks like the Vmax is realistically 120 mph for an 1100cc single seat, with the far higher exceptions of a supercharged Phoenix, and a notably quick K8 Jedi.
This makes it (just) a bit slower than the Snetterton 100, or about the same as Llandow?????

120max is the target to aim for, I over geared mine to 129 and got nowhere near it. I will be 120 next time.

Thanks guys, yep, it's of great help. I'll try the Llandow set-up, normally good for 117 mph or so.

Gearing to 129 mph is something that would be pretty much Vne, it requires a circuit of (at least) Pembrey proportions, and then again only if I manage the mythical perfect exit of Honda, which I've achieved only once.

Agree with Topdog. I managed 118 in the blade powered Westfield a couple of years ago and 108 in the ZZR1100 OMS this year in less than ideal conditions.
You won't be too far off with your Llandow set up Graham.
