IT is absolutely clear that the different branches of the sports governing body within the MSA don't talk to each other and there is no consistent view in several areas.

As mentioned circuit racers don't need log books but rally cars and speed event cars do.

Harnesses have to be in date in rallying and racing but not sure about speed events

Seats have to be in date in rallying but not club racing or speed events

I need a medical on initial licence application (and every year overp the age of 45) for racing but not at all for rallying or speed events.

You couldn't make it up. But you could argue that with such different interpretations of what is required to demonstrate inimum levels of safety, that the MSA as a whole doesn't have a damn clue!

That sums up the whole MSA nonsense pretty well no wonder the self praising magazine they send out always make me angry, has anybody ever seen a critical reply published in it?
