Mounting fire extinguisher bottle

I can't find any specific regulations regarding the mounting of plumbed in system bottle, other than it being secure & within the "cockpit" area.
It's an OMP 2.8 bottle with eco life extinguishent & I'm struggling to fine somewhere to fit it in a Radical SR4????

I though they could be mounted anywhere. It’s the activation that has to be available from the drivers position.

Have the MSA stated that the Fire Extinguisher Regulations actually apply to Speed Events?

Mine's mounted in the garage

If you were looking to fit it to the floor, you'd need a cradle and the steel bands that can be bought off that ebeigh.

Biggest problem is actually finding somewhere to mount the damn thing Think I've actually managed to come up with a solution now after a lot of jiggling & cutting The old system which is over 10 years old was mounted vertically at front of N/s in tub, they won't service that as it's over 10 years old & also tell me that it shouldn't be mounted vertically anyway!

My bottle was fixed to the floor between my legs, just ahead of the battery. Not sure which is worse, getting your nuts burnt by a battery, or blown off by an exploding bottle.

Mine originally had one John and it was on the floor of the "passenger space", Mounted by said strap on its side.

At least if your nuts get burnt you can put them out with the adjacent extinguisher!
