2012 championship

I am sure Steve will confirm....

Is the 2012 championship decided? What does Stewart need to wrap up title 2?

I believe that title number 2 has already been wrapped up.

Sadly I cannot make it to Anglesey this weekend.
If anyone has any news of the events unfolding, plus general stuff like weather, then I would be most grateful.

Firstly the top two places in the 2012 Championship had been confirmed BEFORE Anglesey as 1st Stewart Robb and 2nd Terry Holmes.
Secondly there were two wins for Colin Calder - on Saturday he just edged out Stewart Robb and on Sunday with Stewart Robb absent due to a family crisis Colin cruised to victory. Colin set new outright course records on both days.
The battle for the other final championship placings was intense and unofficially Mike Musson sneaked through to third place as Colin Birkbeck suffered a broken water pump on Sunday. Musson and Mike Smith tied on points and Mike took the place on the Tie Break.

I'll post the Final placings one the Championship Co-ordinator confirms them.

Having resolved the outstanding problem the following is a list of the final standings at the end of the season:

1st Stewart Robb 87pts;
2nd Terry Holmes 78pts;
3rd Mike Musson 62pts;
4th Mark Smith 62pts;
5th Colin Birkbeck 61pts;
6th Steve Miles 52pts;
7th Colin Calder 52 pts;
8th Graham Porrett 49pts;
9th Terry Graves 41pts;
10th Scott Pillinger 31pts;
11th John Graham 31pts;
12th Heather Calder 20pts; etc.

Due to the course used on Sunday being longer than the one used to establish the Championship Records any points earned breaking the records have had to be deducted.
