Slip&Grip Sprint Series - Simple regs & Great competition

Hi Ladies and Gentleman,

We have created a new sprint series for this year which is based over 4 rounds and is aimed at allowing people to take that first step from trackdays to competition without crazy overheads before you event get in the car for your first event.

The first 3 rounds are based at the 2.2 smooth tarmac rally stage at the Mid Wales Activity Centre and the last round at Castle Combe.

For full details and regs please visit the link:
https://www.slipandgripautomotive.co.../31-03-2018/72

We have some great prizes for event and class winner and the series winner overall will get a season of free Trackdays courtesy of Slip&Grip Automotive

Are these events being run under an MSA permit?

Looks like a bit of commercial advertising to me.

Of course not, one look at the wbsite and regulations is enough to tell you.
"
The Slip&Grip Sprint Series is a timed Sprint Series over 4 rounds. Cars are divided into classes depending on spec and engine size.,,,,and will follow the same direction as our Touge Trackday format events.

This series is designed for members to experience the next step up from our usual trackday format events but its very important to keep that great Slip&Grip friendly atmosphere."

It is, you could also say it's providing information the same as people who post up about other events - if I was local I would go and have a crack at one or 2 I think.

No links to Msa. Last I read no trained Fire crew or medics on site at some venues.

Maybe so but looks like the poster joined to post 2 threads about these events and left.

It says -

Event Safety
Marshals on stage,flags/Extinguishers
First aiders on site
Vehicle recovery on site
Please no messing around in cars in the paddock
Please ensure you enter the paddock slowly and park in permitted space
Listen to staff and marshals at all times
All cars will be scrutineered on the day of the event, if your car is deemed dangerous or does not meet regs you will not be allowed to compete and no refund will be given
Only Marshals and media are permitted to view out on stage and must sign a waver and have a high vis
Strictly no public admittance to the Touge events

It's trackday safety...but no open wheel cars are allowed and it's no more dangerous than the average track day.....in fact probably less so because it's one car at a time
