Hi Tony,
Not in Essex but if you get stuck Mike Hayman is a qualified auto electrician and sorted the electrics out on my R1-engined Jedi. |

I have no personal experience of their problem solving skills, though I have heard good things about Track Electronics from fellow motorcycling folk in the Snetterton paddock. They're just outside Norwich, probably worth speaking to at least.

R1 5vy starting issue
First thing I would try is replacement starter circuit relay. You can get these on BTDBTDBTDBTD for @25 quid. There is a simple test procedure if you have a multimeter and want to check it first.
I have just installed a 5vy in my mini and had all the fun with bypassing and emulating sensors. I had a no start scenario which was the starter relay defect. |
