Loton was 880 runs actually with about 200 entries

It was the Shelsley that managed to 1000 runs

A recent exchange between the owner and me...

"Him:

Clive, Your post on trip advisor is not really the best way forward with our relationship with the Hill Climb. Robin West from the MAC office is trying hard now to build bridges and work for to a situation here where the Shoot, Church, Courthouse, Hill Climb & farmer Ian Kirby all get along.

Me:

I believe my post was factually accurate. What do you suggest Keith?

Him:

Trip advisor is a forum for guests who have booked & stayed our business. not a place for you to have any beef and to discredit the business here, Let it go Clive & in the bigger picture & interest of getting on with MAC as their closest neighbours, we would ask you to remove the post from TripAdvisor asap.

Me:

Your behaviour was unacceptable. I am happy to supply contact details for the witnesses to Trip Advisor if you dispute the validity of my report. I am happy to let them decide. You may be interested to know that I have also been contacted by others since sharing my experience - it appears that I am not the only person with whom you have had words. Until you acknowledge that your behaviour was grossly offensive and unjustifiable, the review stands as a necessary warning to others. To have a young child exposed to such an inexcusable tirade of aggressive abuse beggars belief. You have no idea who else was in the crowd listening. This isn't a MAC issue, you were rude and aggressive to me personally. I was hugely offended by your behaviour. So, absent anything else, I see no reason not to share my experience with others lest they encounter the same behaviour. As I said, I am open to your suggestions as to how to take things forward but forgetting about the incident isn't one that I am inclined to adopt."

... so not entirely Pacifist! We shall see what he does next.

It was CoC Phil that said they had done a 1000 runs, but a quick look at Resultsman does indeed prove it to be 880.

Still a well run meeting at all done by 17:00

And on the Sunday morning we had a 1 hour break for the church service, 'unique' at times to Loton Park!

Any venue only needs one long track incident and it all goes wrong.....

Absolutely - the absolute biggest variable that effects meeting time is the pink squidgy bits in the cars.

Of course, the amount of time it takes me for them to position them around my lap belts oh wait...
