seems very clear. you can use pump fuel or methanol, latter only in racing and libre.

there is no E85 pump fuel in UK anymore. I checked a few years ago. race fuel not dispensed from a forecourt pump not allowed.

wot ho,what sort of forecourt do you mean?staverton airport has a forecourt and pumps also 105 octain fuel(avgas)

Not quite - if you read the definition of pump fuel in the 2018 BB Sect.B - which is new for this year - the table in Appendix 1 which gives the RON & MON you quote refers to fuel from "UK roadside filling stations". The definition goes on to state that fuel to FIA App.J Art 252 article 9 is acceptable - which is 102 RON & 90 MON.

mmmm, remember all the flappage about having to provide a means of taking a fuel sample from the car (think it involved having to fit a non return quick fit)...when was the last time you saw any such check at a sprint/hillclimb event ?

When I was a 'ton up boy' back in the 1960s, National Benzole was the stuff to buy, 105 octane.....4/6d a gallon..
