Retro Rides Queueing

I'm off to RetroRides at Shelsley on the 20th. I've not been before and my sons tell me the event is so popular the queues can be very long. Anyone on here got any experience of the event and if so what's the best time to arrive to avoid long queues?

Get there early. Very early.
Once you're in, it's a great event. I went two years ago, but missed last year.

Thanks Alex, it opens at 9 so I guess we need to be there 8 - 8.30 to beat the queues?

It's popular and generally busy and I would aim for the time you state. The new entrance system should help this year. It's a good day normally and I look forward to working there for the occasion.

Earlier the better although I did drive in fine at 11am last year.
I will be taking the Pug for some Demo runs up the Hill this year

I'm interested in this, are there any timed runs or are they all demos ?

They're not timed runs as the event is not licensed to be a competition.

But you can still drive flat out.

They have about 10 guest cars doing demo runs. Its was also open to any other pre 92 car iirc. (Hill time All sold out now) none of it is timed but there should be all sorts taking to the Hill so quite intresting to watch.
