Are Hewland adaptors of a left or right hand starter application, all the same.? I have a left hand starter application on my car, but I am struggling to get a starter motor from a supplier to fit. Now these people all advertise the 104 tooth flywheel facility, but do not seem to know the offsets etc. required to accomodate this. Unfortunately, the Brabham has very little clearance between the chassis and engine block/sump. So, are all the left hand adaptors for a particular gearbox, identical? Or did Hewland reel off different versions? Be nice to know. Thanks.

I suspect that you will need an off set starter. Most Formula Junior and F3 screamers used 104 teeth starters and would be on the left.....
