Most of the top Oz cars have skirts No one seems bothered about it.

Is it that you run under CAMS rules and they don't prohibit skirts whereas the MSA rules do? .... Or maybe you just can't be arsed with the rule and no one bothers :-)

Just a guess from the pic, but that rear wing looks wider than we'd be allowed too

Steve Wilkinson will become famous soon enough
If a venue doesn't have a certified flat surface area I am sure the Scrutineers have the power to remove a car to a suitable test site to check its legality.

You can't be serious (John McEnroe)
Most powerfloat floors (high Spec) are only to a minmum of 3mm over 3 metres, an average spec floor is 10mm over 3 metres.

We do have rules for wing widths and ground clearances but since some Victorians started to stretch the limits CAMS have had a blind eye, CAMS are Victoria based and run!.

Bit worrying, your governing body ignoring obvious infringements of their own rules!.... Seems like they need a kick up the arse... Or, if the general consensus of the drivers nationally is for the rules to be changed then they should change them for everyone ... Safety considerations allowing.

The reasoning for the 40mm limit here is given that without it if the car goes off onto the rough it will 'taboggan' along on its belly robbing the driver of any control (tho personally I've not noticed slicks on grass giving me much in the way of control during any of my visits to the landscape!!)
