Loton: The MHC Decider

I have just uploaded the results for Round 8 Prescott onto the Midland site:

HERE

Many classes have already got a clear winner – but there are a few still class wins to play for and places to make up.

In addition, the overall BMTR Tyres Midland Championship is in the balance – Mike Turpin and Dave West are in contention and the Championship top ten have many positions that are likely to change!

The TTC Group Top Ten Challenge is also very interesting, Trevor Willis looks to be the most likely winner, but Jason Mourant will keep him on his toes.

Let’s hope for a dry one!

If my calculations are correct (which I can't guarantee) for Dave to beat Mike he would have to the win his Class and Mike would need to finish 5th or below in his Class with them both finishing on 63 points but Dave winning on count back.

Hi Rich, as I see it the dropped scores scenario means that Mike can only add to his score (by one point) if he sets a new class record. If Dave wins his (your) class he will add 3 points, or 4 if he sets a new record.
If they are level on actual overall points then count back on places works - I haven't done that - there are others far cleverer than me that will know how that will play out!
Cheers Steve

Ye that's pretty much how I have it too, I forgot about the Class Record extra point thou, I could feasibly see Mike beating his own record in the dry but there's no way anyone will beat Sarah's record of 57.26 in our class.
Mike has won every class round apart from Prescott last time out (2nd)
Dave has won every class round apart from one Shelsley (2nd) and Prescott the last time out (4th)
So on count back as long as Mike finishes 3rd or above in his class he wins the Championship regardless, and unless Dave wins our class Mike also wins regardless.
I think that's the combinations (bar some crazy class record breaking run by Dave)
Rich

Looking at the times on the new surface, if the weather is dry theres a change many of the records will go.

E5 is right, £6 each from the clothing shop. Not 100% sure, but maybe from the sign-on hut too.
If it rains then the do will be in the village hall as before.

For anyone coming to Loton Park this weekend and planning to travel via Bridgnorth, please note that the A458 Bridgnorth by-pass will be closed from 20.00 on Friday to 06.00 on Saturday. The recommended diversion route is through Bridgnorth town centre, B4364, B4373, and A442.
OK for cars but I would not want to try taking a large vehicle, trailer (or both) through Bridgnorth centre.
I'd suggest planning a different route avoiding the Bridgnorth area.
Information from the FB page 'Bridgnorth Chat, News, Rants, and Idle Speculation' via a reliable source.
