Shook Mikes hand on Sunday, good job done and justly deserved.
Dave West was so close, but I can see Duncan being on his tail next year.

That was some battle between Paul H and yourself, dead heat on fastest runs!
Old tech vs new tech, honours nearly even.

Well done Duncan!

Well done to Mike and all the other winners.

How does the scoring work in the midland championship?

Well done to yourself on a class record, shame it was only one run

Stephen
Points are given on your class position depending on how many starters are in the class.
To be in the best position to beat Mr Turpin you need to win the class with at least 6 in the class every meeting so getting max class points.
You also need to have the potential to set class records to pick up the extra point 'bonus' that comes with a record.

So, Mike has the skill and the car. Difficult to argue that one!
He contests all the meetings required to score.
He is in a class with a consistent 6 or more runners so max points every meeting he contests if he wins.
He has the potential to take records in the class, and you need to set records as much as possible, preferably by 0.1 sec slices to make it easier!

This is the combo you need to win the Midland.

The class you have been in Steve is perfect!

Good luck for next years effort!
I'm sure Dave West won't give up...

Thanks for the info Graham, so its similar to Leaders points systems.

I want to do the leaders again, but possibly mod prod this time around, so will see how the midlands fits in around that.

Oh Bugger! Sorry, I mean it would be wonderful to have you in the class, Steve! I hope the engine problem isn't too disastrous. That was a fantastic score line in the last half of the season, well done!

Thanks Jonathan. Fortunately it was a snapped driveshaft, which also exploded the cv joint, spraying grease everywhere including the hot turbo! The knocking, thankfully was the snapped shaft hitting the chassis.

See you next year
