Hopefully an online system will be in place come February or so I've been told.

I note that online entries are being accepted now on the Prescott website. Are people already entering? Or waiting for midland champ registration to go live first? Is it wise to enter really early for all midland rounds?

(Sorry newbie questions but this will be my first year doing midland rounds)

Jon

Early entry is no guarantee of a place on the day, but it is a good policy as it is easy to forget to enter on time!

For a few years I entered all the MHC events I planned to do in one go and several big cheques.
Talk about peace of mind!

On-Line entry and PayPal is the way to go imho.

Hi there

I understand from Bill that the MSA permits have been provided and the regs and championship entry are ready to print.

The plan is to have the 2018 regs and championship registration form up on the existing website by 31st January so they are available to download, print and send in via mail - in the ‘traditional’ manner.

For information, I have been working on a new site, that involves a slight revamp. The plan being to include the opportunity to join an MHC email mailing list for news, information and results. I have also been looking at adding an online championship entry and payment facility. This new site is pretty much ready to roll assuming it is signed off - there are some additional costs to the championship for the e-commerce elements that are needed and that would make it work smoothly. These additional costs are one of the points of discussion currently - given that going ‘online’ is a brave new world.

I have been assuming that there are a few of us who would be happy to use an online championship registration system in preference to paper forms and cheques?

Anyway, to answer Jon; if you are intending to enter the MHC then you can go ahead and enter the individual events at the venues, as soon as you like, you just need to know the class you will be running in. Also probably best to sign up to the championship in good time. There’s no actual ‘closing date’ but be sure to be registered with the championship no less than seven days before the first event you compete in. Finally, you’ll need to show your championship registration card at signing on.

Hope this helps?

Cheers Steve

Thanks for the advice. Entry in. Looking forward to seeing the new updated site.

All very good news for The Best UK Championship.

When I do the Loton Drivers' School entries I have a few who want to enter who do not have a cheque book. I take cash on the day for them.
This affected 5% of entrants last year.
Mind you, I get the odd 2 or 3 who don't have email for various reasons.

It would be wise I think to have all pre payment methods available.
Look forward to the new look Steve.

Graham.

Hi just to say the regs and entry are up on the existing site.

Here

It’s download, print and post currently!

I’ll let you know when the other options are available.

Cheers Steve
