He's only gone and lowered it again, a 45.3 on his first timed run today.

Love it!
That car has such good origins, it is an engineering delight, if not masterpiece and when paired with the right driver..
Magic.
That new surface is ace too, but I'm biased...

Robert is certainly one of the most committed drivers in hillclimbing. The Raptor is clearly a well designed and brilliantly built car. I have no doubt that my old record at Prescott will be broken weather permitting and will be well deserved. Looks like a new generation of 1100s has been born.
Good luck Robert.

Fully agree, I was tantalisingly close on a 39.02, but fully expect something in the 37s

Well to set your record that has stood for some time, with some quick drivers try, I think your car is pretty special and very well driven.

I know practice doesn't count, but a stunning time today by Robert
It's a real shame the weather will change tomorrow as I think there's loads more to come

Any chance he'll be BHC registered next year? Has an 1100CC car ever held a number?

He has now registered for the end of this season so I expect there is a fair chance for next year.

In 1955, 1956 and 1957 Tony Marsh won the BHC at the wheel of an 1100.

In 1958, 1959 and 1960 David Boshier-Jones won the BHC at the wheel of an 1100.

In 1961 David Good won the Championship at the wheel of an 1100.
