Snetterton Sprint - Thanks

As some will know I had a big engine failure on the first timed run a Snetterton on Saturday after exiting the last corner.
There is now a hole in the crankcase you could put your fist in where no 3 piston made a bid for freedom.
I just wanted to say thank you to those who made over to me quickly in the paddock after i coasted in unaware of the smoke coming from behind me, and especially Colin Calder who appeared with a fire extinguisher seemingly from no where, and to the marshal who encouraged my hasty exit from the car.
Thankfully it wasn't needed as it was just the oil and water escaping but could easily have been worse.
Gutted as it was a great weekend otherwise and a well organised event from B19

Thanks again
Mark Anson

Hey Mark

Sorry to hear that. I guess that was a ZZR then? Same happened to mine last year, common ZZR oil starvation of #3 main bearing. If you need a quick replacement then I think Kano Nordie of this forum still has a modified ZZR for sale. He had two and I bought one of them a few weeks ago and both have had the #3 main bearing oil feed modified so should prevent this type of failure again. I can provide more details if needed, just let me know.

Thanks Steve
I PM'd John and he's sold his engines. It looks like I've found a couple of others from a reliable source so fingers crossed I should be able to get up and running soon...ish.
Going to remove the blown one tomorrow.
